Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have made ridiculous sums of money with their soccer skills. There is another player who reached that level of wealth, but is considered average for the top leagues. He still had a great career at top European clubs, but he got that money from his other job.

This sidejob could also be very valuable and what the world is needing, because he manages a company that works with biochemicals and the aim is to produce materials that could be used in plastics, fuels and other things produced with fossil oils. This project to find an alternative to oil is what made him a millionaire.

That player is Mathieu Flamini, a defensive midfielder who played for Marseille, Arsenal, AC Milan, Crystal Palace and Getafe. He shared the dressing room with great players like Ronaldinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thierry Henry, and played three matches for France national team.

Flamini's company, GFBiochemicals, received many awards around the world. And the player did as well. He was named one of the People of the Year in 2015 by the English magazine NME, and was called to be part of a committee that made sure that Paris fulfills the requirements to host the Olympic Games in 2024.
