Karim Benzema is news and not precisely because of his football and goals with Real Madrid; This Tuesday, it was known that between October 20 and 22, he will be called to trial for the alleged blackmail against Mathieu Valbuena, who was his partner in the French National Team in 2015.

The former player and who was officiating as a midfielder in Marseille, Lyon, among other clubs, paid extortionists, who threatened to release an intimate video of Valbuena. Some time later it was pointed out that Karim Benzema was allegedly part of said criminal group.

After what happened, in 2015, the forward and captain of Real Madrid was banned from the French team for the last five years. His superlative level made coach Didier Deschamps think, who on May 30 announced the return of the Real Madrid footballer to the French team.

In the next few days, between October 20 and 22, Benzema will be tried by the Versailles court and, if guilty, he could lose his chance with France again.
