Lionel Messi is on the verge of completing his move to Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital. The Argentine player will sign a €35m a year contract with PSG for the next 2 years with the option to extend for another year. One of the interesting facts about this transfer is the reunion of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Alongside Luis Suarez, both players were part of the famous MSN trio that shattered so many records. When Messi was at Barcelona, his shirt number was number 10, as the main creative force of the team. With his status as arguably the best player of all time, it was expected that he'd be given the number 10 jersey.
In support of this is the current number 10, Neymar. The Brazilian forward wears the number 10 jersey at the Parc des Princes but he has made a nice gesture by offering to relinquish his shirt number for the incoming Barcelona star. This is a very nice move from Neymar and it is bound to impress Messi.
However, the 6-time Ballon d'Or winner has declined the offer made by Neymar for the number 10 jersey. Messi will then look further to get another shirt number at PSG. One of the most likely number options is number 19 which Messi wore during his early days at Barcelona. Another possible number is the number 30. Though it is clear that Messi will not be taking the number 10 away from Neymar.
