What is Lionel Messi going to do after the end of the season? The question is the one that all Europe is asking so far, as the contract of the Argentine legend with FC Barcelona ends on June 2021 and there are several chances of him moving on, being Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and the MLS the most interested clubs on signing him.
Messi arrived to La Masía when he was just 13 years old and has been playing for the Catalan side since then. A complete story of love and loyalty, that ended during the last transfer window, when the player declares the war to ex-president Josep María Bartomeu and told him that he wanted to leave.
After Bartomeu closed him the exit gate, the historical no. 10 had to stay, but the panorama is going to be very different now. During this Monday, Barcelona defined who are those persons that will be available to participate from the elections that will take place in a couple of days in the Catalan side.
The one who ended first, with 10.257 votes, is Joan Laporta, who has been the president of Barcelona already and is set to return to his position. The lawyer and Politian have made clear that his great objective if he wins is to make Messi staying, something that may give us a hint to know what the attacker will be doing during 2021.
