One of the main characteristics of Paris Saint Germain is its investment fund that comes directly from Qatar. In the land of gas and oil, the French club's numbers are unbalanced between player additions and player sales. The turning point in the history of the institution that has Nasser Al-Khelaïfi as president, was the purchase of Kylian Mbappé from Monaco in mid-2018 for an impressive figure for the time: 145 million euros.

That same pass market indicated the arrival of Leonardo Paredes to the capital of France. The Argentine midfielder could not find a destination where he could display his style of play and finally left Zenit in Russia to land at PSG in exchange for 40 million euros. To close that transfer window, Thilo Kehrer (37 million euros to Schalke 04) and Juan Bernat (5 million euros to Bayern Munich) also arrived from the Bundesliga. Little by little, the stars always arrived with a single objective: to win the Champions League.

What does not fit in the club's economy is that in recent years the balance is 1,022 million euros invested in transfers, while only 322 million entered in player income. Later, the great majority that enters the historical top is around 20 million and draws attention, since it needs ten similar sales to cover what Neymar came out for the balance of the institution.

The most resonant transfers of PSG in the last decade

• Neymar Jr. (Brazil) from Barcelona: 222 million euros

• Kylian Mbappé (France) from AS Mónaco: 145 million euros

• Edinson Cavani (Uruguay) from Nápoli: 64,5 million euros

• Ángel Di María (Argentina) from Manchester United: 63 million euros

• Achraf Hakimi (Morroco) from Inter: 60 million euros

• Mauro Icardi (Argentina) from Inter: 50 million euros

• David Luiz (Brazil) from Chelsea: 49,5 million euros

• Thiago Silva (Brazil) from Milan: 42 million euros

• Javier Pastore (Argentina) from Palermo: 42 million euros

• Leonardo Paredes (Argentina) from Zenit: 40 million euros
