Mesut Ozil has written almost his entire story ligated to Arsenal. The German midfielder joined the club on September 2013, when the Gunners convince themselves on paying $50 million for Real Madrid. Since then, he has transformed into a key player from the London team, until the arrival of Mikel Arteta.

The head coach decided to axe him from both Premier League and Europa League squads and his future is now uncertain. But, even though we may think that he wants to leave, the reality is far away for that. In fact, Ozil himself made a statement in which he assured that he will continue training for the club and that it is not of his desire to leave.

Ozil signed a contract that stands until June 2021 and that it is very hard to break, as he earns £350,000 per week being the highest-paid player in the whole club. It is hard to think that the offensive midfielder will have better economic conditions, even in the MLS, and that is a critical reason for him to stay at Arsenal in his very last years of his career.

Maybe after that time, we may think that Ozil will do the move. Many MLS teams have already put an eye on him and DC United is, for now, the one who takes the lead to sign him. After 254 matches at Arsenal and without a game played since March, Ozil will continue to hold at Arsenal for now.
