With such a moment, Raúl Jiménez is probably the best Mexican attacker in the world these days. The forward has showed all his talent during the start of the season, scoring four goals after nine Premier League matches and two in a pair of games with Mexico national team at the FIFA international break.

Jiménez is 29 years old and many important teams had put an eye on him. During the last transfer window, it was rumored that Manchester United and Juventus tried to sign him, but after all the negotiations didn’t advance, so he stayed at the Premier League side.

Jiménez made 85th consecutive appearances in the Premier League after the game of this weekend, making the joint-longest current run in the competition. That stat shows how important the player is for head coach Nuno Espírito Santo and for the team as well.

For that reason, Wolverhampton is thinking on shielding the Mexican. The offer could be a millionaire contract with which he will transform into one of the best-paid players on the club. With an actual deal made until June 2024, the sport advisers from the club are yet thinking on making a new contract in a year or so if he continues in this form.
