It was 2016. One year before several stelar players from Europe arrived to the MLS: Giovanni dos Santos, Kaká, Andrea Pirlo, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Didier Drogba, David Villa, and Sebastian Giovinco. The league was in everyone's eyes. And Matt Miazga took advantage of that context. His sell to Chelsea FC was a big surprise. But years passed and now he became a Mr. Nobody.

Miazga played for three years at the New York Red Bulls. Born in Clifton, New Jersey, he signed a Homegrown contract and made his debut at the age of 18. Also scored his first proffesional goal two years later against New York City FC. Just an year later since that match he arrived at Chelsea FC with a four-year contract and big dreams to achieve.

However, the $5M they paid for him were quickly unnecesary. He only played twice in the English soccer and since then he has been loaned out yearly. He played in Netherlands, in France and finally returned to England where he is now at Reading FC, in the Second Division. Definetely the fourth place in the MLS highest outgoing transfers ranking was too big for him.
