Luis Suárez was one of the best players ever in FC Barcelona history, but the Catalan side surprisingly decided to let him out for free on September 2020. The Uruguayan attacker was one of the top strikers ever at Barça, but ex-president Josep María Bartomeu as well as Ronald Koeman decided to axe him.
After such a thing, Suárez moved to Atlético de Madrid, Spanish side that gave him the possibility to continue playing in the country and at a top club. It was one of the most stunning signings of the year, as the forward left Barcelona after six years played at that team.
Since his arrival to Diego Simeone’s squad, Suárez proved all his talent and is going through an incredible moment. After just nine matches played on La Liga he scored nine goals, being the top-scorer of the competition so far. He even gave advantage to his competitors, as he lost some games due to having COVID-19.
All in all, Suárez has already played 14 matches for the Colchoneros, with a result of nine goals scored and an assist given. His team is at the first position on the local league, after earning 29 points out of 12 matches played. After being a top attacker at Nacional, FC Groningen, Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona, Suárez is still showing himself at Atlético at the age of 33.
