Columbus Crew became champion of the MLS last season and for that to be possible, a lot had to do with the outstanding match-by-match performances of Lucas Zelarayán. The offensive midfielder from Córdoba was one of the great figures that the Ohio franchise had. And in one of the last training sessions, the former Belgrano de Córdoba player surprised everyone with an impressive tattoo.

On the return to team training, thinking about the contest that will begin on April 17, the South American appeared with no less detail on his left leg that caught the attention of his teammates and fans of the Ohio franchise. In the aforementioned area of the body, Zelarayán appeared with a tattoo of the trophy, where in the upper part there's a golden star and below the scepter, the phrase MLS Cup Champions, plus the date of obtaining the championship: December 12, 2020.

Without a doubt, for Zelarayán it was a very special title. It is not for less the meaning that the obtaining of the American league had for the Córdoba-born, since after passing through Tigres, where although he won six championships, including three Liga MX, he was not the main protagonist as it happened. in his first year in the United States.

In a year, Zelarayán already shouted champion
Zelarayán arrived at Columbus Crew in December 2019 to become the Franchise Player, and responded to the scrolls with spades, playing 21 games, 17 of them as a starter, making three assists and scoring eight goals, two of them in the final of the MLS against Seattle Sounders.
