Neymar's going through a fantastic present at PSG after living some difficult first years, a product of his difficult adaptation to French football. Today, along with Kylian Mbappé, the Brazilian has a decisive role in Mauricio Pochettino's scheme and the top management doesn't consider leaving him as an option. That's why at the end of last year the Parisian entity presented him with a renewal contract with which it seemed that they had convinced him to continue, especially since the name of his friend Lionel Messi also sounded as a possible incorporation in the middle of the crisis that hit Barcelona.

That document, however, was never signed and until now it remains on the table waiting for the signature of the paulista. Apparently, the delay is due to two clear issues: the duration that was established and the desire of him in the future. According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, the institution commanded by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi offered him a renewal that will link him with them until 2027, that is, for six more years, and a salary that would remain as until now for 180 million euros annual euros.

The extension of the contract could mean an almost life-long renewal with the French team, since, in the absence of a great economic movement in the transfer markets, the Brazilian could go free at 35 years, an age at which most of the footballers begin to travel their last bars in the elite of soccer.

From France they trust that they will be able to convince Neymar and, after his brilliant performance against Bayern Munich, they expect him to sign before the first leg for the Champions League semifinals against Manchester City that will be played in two weeks. That, added to his express desire to play with La Pulga again next season could be the cause of the delay in making his decision official. Faced with a wait that seems endless, and after the rumors that haunt Spain about a possible return, the president of the Parisian entity was decisive.

“We have invested a lot in this club to win the Champions League and all the trophies at stake. Neymar and Kylian (Mbappé) have no excuses to leave. We really have everything to win every tournament. We are a great team”, he warned. "Neymar's contract? I think Neymar will stay at PSG for a long time”, he later considered him in dialogue with Sky Italia. The Brazilian, meanwhile, sent a message with an air of calm to PSG fans: “I feel very comfortable and at home here. I feel happier than before”.
