After playing for Barcelona and Manchester United, Victor Valdes started a journey as a coach with lots of confrontations. Today he was accused by one of his former players.

Victor Valdes started his career as a coach in Barcelona youth teams. But after some turbulent times, he was fired after being disliked by the board, players, agents and even parents of the young players. He found a new team to manage, but it seems he is facing the same problems.

Currently, Valdes is coaching Horta, a small side from Catalunya playing in Spanish Tercera División, fourth tier. And Sergi Moreno, one of his former players at that club, who has recently left Horta, revealed details of Valdes’ methods of man management and questioned if he was able to manage a soccer team.

Moreno commented that Valdes was extremely aggressive with the players, and accused the former keeper of managing like he was playing FIFA. He gathered the whole squad at the gym to tell three players that would not play for the team anymore and had to pick their stuff and leave right in that moment.

He also said Valdes is known for being egocentric, lacks humility and he does not treat players as people but as cards played. At Barcelona he had been accused of mistreating players, trying to impose his own rules even when there was a plan made by the board, and not respecting the guidelines of conduct.
