The dream that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could not fulfill and Lewandowski stole from them

Robert Lewandowski ended the 2020 as the best year in his professional career, with no doubts. While the world was beaten by the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial issues, the Polish attacker lived a parallel reality and closed one of the best years in his life, not to say the best one.

Lewan gained as many awards as he could not even imagine and was even above Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the two greatest soccer figures from the past decades. The clearest victory was the one he achieved when winning FIFA The Best against the other two contenders.

During the last night of 2020, the striker shared an image in which he was at the bed with all the awards and trophies he won during the year. Five titles gained out of five played, including the UEFA Champions League, top-scorer at those five competitions, the best attacker on UCL, MVP for UEFA, player of the year at Bundesliga, Polish player of the year, FIFA best XI and The Best.

It is hard to think that Lewandowski will one day repeat what he did at his 32 years old playing for Bayern Munich. In total, the forward closed the 2019/20 season with 55 goals scored and 10 assists given after 47 matches played. The photo in the bed with all his awards is one that neither Messi nor Cristiano can have.
