Mexican winger Hirving Lozano has signed with Napoli on August 23, 2019. He started out as a key player on the team. However, his role in the club changed when coach Carlo Ancelotti was replaced by Italian Gennaro Gattuso. The 25-year-old forward was not a starter on the team.

Therefore, he seriously thought about leaving the team and looking for a new club. However, Lozano had an intimate talk with the Mexican national team's coach, Gerardo "Tata" Martino, that has changed his thoughts. He said that this conversation made him want to stay in Napoli.

The 57-year-old coach tried to calm him down and told him to work hard at training so that Gattuso would take him into account. He also told him not to respond verbally, but to show his potential on the field. In addition, Martino advised him not to rush into decisions about his future.

Lozano listened to Martino and started training hard in Naples. Now, the Mexican is a starter in the team and is one of the top scorers in the Italian Serie A with four goals, the same which were scored by Serie A stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alejandro Gomez, Romelu Lukaku, Francesco Caputo and Andrea Belotti.
