Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest soccer players of all time. The Portuguese legend is an absolute icon of the sport and remains at the very top level, having turned 36 years old. Since his outbreak in Manchester United, after emerging from Sporting Lisbon, he was set to be one of the best.

Just like many soccer stars, he has a special passion for sports in general, and NFL is not the exception. He has got interested in football a few times and has been invited to some events. Still, he has made some comments that could be taken as mocking to this extremely popular sport in United States.

For a short amount of time, in 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo switched his avatars in his social media for a picture in which he was paying tribute to MLS. In an Instagram story, he said: “If you can play soccer, you can play football”, ahead of that Super Bowl edition played between New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles.

This upcoming weekend we will have the 2021 edition, the Super Bowl LV, between Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by NFL legend Tom Brady, and Kansas City Chiefs. No, Cristiano Ronaldo is not part of the half time show, he is playing on Saturday against Roma for Italian Serie A’s Round 21. Juventus is seven points behind leaders AC Milan.
