The curious reason why Cristiano Ronaldo humiliated Pele
The Portuguese is humiliating the Brazilian with his incredible numbers.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently having a great year. The Portuguese show how strength and talented he is and at his 35 years completed another excellent season. During the past seven games in the start of the campaign, he scored nine goals and gave an assist, showing that what’s coming is still great.
The attacker has a physical prodigy and is still one of the best players of the world despite his age. He trains hard every day and has a very demanding workout routine that make him possible to be in such good form. Far away from his retirement, it seems that he will continue much more years this way.
At an age in which he is still one of the best players of the world, the comparison with other historical playmakers is incredible. At his age Pelé, the Brazilian legend who scored the most amount of goals in history, had already left Santos and was playing at NY Cosmos on NASL, where he scored just 37 goals from 1975 to 1977.
The comparison shows that Cristiano is a superior player at his age than Pelé and could even break the all-time record of his rival. The Portuguese has scored 749 goals in his professional career, while Pelé has 757 officially, counting those who were scored during professional soccer era.
