The curious decision of Mauricio Pochettino at PSG that makes Neymar jealous

Mauricio Pochettino’s era at Paris Saint-Germain has now officially started. It was rumored during many days that the Argentine head coach was going to be the replacement for Thomas Tuchel at the Parisian side and the announcement has finally been made. Poche even had his first training and gave his first press conference as PSG trainer.

The relationship from Pochettino with Neymar is key according to the French press, that assures that the Brazilian is not very easy to treat and that the coach will need to have him happy if he wants to have success. The main objective for him is gaining the first Champions League title in PSG history, that would mean his first title personally as well.

During his first press conference, Pochettino talked about whom the captain of his team was going to be and surprised everyone. Even though it was thought that Ney was going to be the one in charge of carrying the captain bracelet and be the main voice in the locker room, the manager backed up the decision of Tuchel and said that Marquinhos will continue as the captain.

Such a gesture provoked an alarm at the French press, that were already affirming during the previous days that Neymar was set to be the new cap. PSG will play against Saint-Ettiene on Wednesday in the first match of Pochettino as the main coach. FC Barcelona will be their big rival on Champions League round of 16 clashes.
