The crazy decision taken by Raul Jimenez's coach for the squad to avoid COVID-19
Nuno Espirito Santo does not want Wolverhampton to lose more players for Premier League, so he took an incredibly drastic decision.
Wolverhampton is struggling with squad depth right now. Raul Jimenez will be out for a while because of his skull surgery and the coach Nuno Espirito Santo does not want more problems. The team is struggling in mid-table, trying to come back to the UEFA Europa League spots reached at their peak.
And the threat of COVID-19 around in England got worse. Any of the players or staff members could catch the virus literally everywhere. Nuno is aware of that and he decided to take an extra precaution to keep everybody at Wolves in their houses so everybody is healthy and ready.
What Nuno did, was to ask the kitchen personnel of the club to pack food for the players, so them and their families do not have to go to the supermarket. Anything they need, they only have to ask to the club for it. They will not have to focus on anything else and will be safer with this decision.
Nuno also asked Premier League to make a change in Premier League's COVID protocol. The league make tests on players once a week, but the Wolverhampton manager wants it to happen twice a week. Many positive cases appeared right after a match, and the Portuguese wants to stop that.
