Sergio Romero will no longer continue playing for Manchester United. The Argentinian goalkeeper was axed from the squad by head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær and is now looking for a new club. The Red Devils want him away, as they are spending a lot of money in a contract for a player who is not needed for the coach.

Solskjær made his preferences and clearly chosen David de Gea and Dean Henderson instead of Romero. With the keeper looking for a place, the MLS has always been an option for him. Many clubs from the U.S. league tried to sign him and are negotiating until the very end of the transfer window.

Despite the interest that he may have to play in the MLS, another club is seducing Romero. Former Racing Club for Argentina was in touch with the 33 years old player and tried to convince him to come back. President Víctor Blanco said that they really want him and that it would be a dream if he comes back.

Romero was formed at Racing and stayed at the club until 2007, when he left to AZ Alkmaar for $2 million. Afterwards, he passed to Sampdoria and Monaco, before joining Manchester United, on July 2015 as a free agent. After being a historical goalkeeper for Argentina national team, Romero is facing the last years of his career.
