The anger of Pep Guardiola when he found out why Manchester City no longer wants Messi

Lionel Messi hasn’t yet confirmed where he is going to play during the next season. The Argentinian legend is set to leave FC Barcelona after 20 years and there are many teams interested on signing him. His contract will end on June 2021, when he could be leaving as a free agent.

Messi tried to leave during the last transfer window, but ex-president Josep María Bartomeu didn’t let him. Now that Bartomeu is gone things have changed and since December the attacker will be able to negotiate a new contract with the club that he wants to.

Manchester City is one of the clubs interested on him, as he knows Pep Guardiola and has a good relationship with the coach. Even though it was rumored that Messi was leaving to the Premier League side for sure, now we can doubt about it and even affirm that the move won’t happen.

The two reasons why Manchester City is seriously thinking on not signing Messi are his age and the amount of money that they would have to pay, first to get him out of Barcelona and then to sign him a millionaire contract. For now, we will have to wait to see where Messi will be moving to if he finally leaves Barcelona.
