Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the best players from Real Madrid in their history. The historical Portuguese attacker gained many titles at the club, scored plenty of goals and was the most emblematic player from the last years from the Galacticos. He played there since 2009, when he arrived from Manchester United, until 2018, when he left to Juventus.

Knowing that his exit was going to be an option one day, president Florentino Pérez started working many years ago to find who could be the replacement of CR7. A signing completed on July 2015 had many faiths deposited to be the successor of Cristiano. He is Lucas Vázquez, the winger that arrived at that time from RCD Espanyol.

Vázquez arrived for just $1 million and played 227 matches for Real Madrid. He scored 26 goals and gave 49 assists. Even though he was not even near to be like Cristiano, he performed good during his time at the club and his signing was worth it, considering the little amount of money they paid for him.

But after more than five years at the club, Vázquez is set to leave as Zinedine Zidane doesn’t want him any longer. The Spanish press has confirmed that the player will be leaving for free, as his contract ends on June 2021, and he doesn’t want to renew it. The club to where he could move is AC Milan, that showed interest on him.
