Cristiano Ronaldo had a difficult relationship with a teammate at Manchester United who just could not stand him because of his skills.

When he was playing for Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo was not the goal scoring machine he became at Real Madrid and still is at Juventus. He loved to show off with his incredible tricks and cheer up the people on the stands. But a teammate hated him because of this.

The legend Rio Ferdinand told the time when, in a training session, this player and the young Cristiano had a fight, where this star told in front of everybody 'He belongs to the circus, not to the pitch'. The Portuguese confronted him, offended because he did not know why was he talking at him like that.

That player was Ruud Van Nistelrooy, the striker and top scorer of the team at that time. He thought Ronaldo was not helping and criticized him openly. Incredibly, CR7 took this as something he could be wrong at, and polished his game focusing more on finding the net and less on entertaining the fans.

Then, Ronaldo broke all kinds of records and became one of the best players ever scoring like crazy. He won everything with Manchester United, and his game changed just because Van Nistelrooy could not stand him. The Dutch left the club and joined Real Madrid, but he could not perform well there.
