The Golden Boy who lived with Cristiano Ronaldo, was his successor and ended up ruined
He was once set to replace CR7, but things didn’t end as he was expecting to.
Cristiano Ronaldo had such a professional career that head coaches and players always tried to look at his successor. Many names appeared to be the ones replacing the Portuguese star, but at the end just a few could get near to what he is.
One of those cases is the one of Anderson Luis de Abreu Oliveira. The offensive midfielder showed some great conditions and was a Brazilian playmaker who was supposed to be the successor of Cristiano at Manchester United. But his career didn’t advance as he was expecting to and ended far away from competitive-leagues.
Anderson was even capable of living in the same house of Cristiano, as the star invited him to learn his routine and how to be a pro player. He was even named the Golden Boy at 2008, when he had a reported value of $35 million. But, at the end, things changed and his career went to the trash.
Anderson left Manchester United, first on a loan to Fiorentina, and then as a free agent to Brazilian side Internacional. Later he played for Coritiba FC and Turkish club Adana Demirspor, where he ended his professional career. On September 2019 he announced his retirement, having achieved less than what was expected of him.
