Real Madrid has pulled out of the deal to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-German this summer. The Spanish club was keen on taking the want-away PSG player to the Santiago Bernabeu but the move has collapsed on the final day. It now looks certain that Mbappe will be playing in the French capital for the remainder of this season at least.

The 21-year-old star repeatedly rejected contract renewal offers from PSG before informing the Sporting Director, Leonardo, that he'd like to leave. Real Madrid immediately swung into action, submitting the first bid of €160m that was swiftly turned down too by the Paris club. The Spanish side made a second offer for an improved figure of €170m, which the Parisians were considering.

The Ligue 1 giants would be ready to do a deal if their valuation of €200m is met by Real Madrid. PSG themselves bought Mbappe for £180m from Monaco in 2017. The player has gone on to win the FIFA World Cup and appeared in the Champions League final match. Thus, his value is expected to have shot up since 2017.

However, Real Madrid has reportedly put an end to their pursuit of the PSG forward. This means that the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners would need to prepare for the full season without Mbappe. The player was named in the squad to face Reims on Sunday and scored both goals as Lionel Messi made his debut.
