Critics are raining over Gennaro Gattuso although Napoli's coach has positioned his team just five points behind the top of the Serie A and had a promising start in the UEFA Europa League. It happens that Napoli's last couple of games haven't been even close to good.

Most of all, critics towards Gennaro Gattuso point out that it looks like the coach has lost his confidence over Victor Oshimhen, the striker which Napoli has just bought for 70 million euros from French side Lille. Oshimhen is the highest transfer ever made by Napoli.

Besides the cost of the player and, specially, besides the talent Oshimhen has proven to have, Gattuso has player Andrea Petagna as starter in the last games. He will place him again today in the Europa League's game. It's awkward since Petagna is coming out of a season playing for a team that was relegated from Serie A.

Moreover, it's weird that Gattuso choose Petagna over Oshimhen since Petagna is very slow and doesn't fit in Napoli's rushing game style, while the Nigerian forward is a gazelle. Fans and journalists are demanding Gattuso to offer more chances to Oshimhen to prove his value.

But Gattuso has always defended his favorites. That's why he place Petagna as starter. And that's also why Hirving Lozano will be on the bench today even when he is currently one of the Napoli's players in best shape. On the oposite, both Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne aren't playing well, but Gattuso keeps them in the starting line up. Will this change or will the coach be sacked first?
