Sergio Ramos is getting tired of Florentino Perez and the explosion is imminent
The defender wants to renew his contract with Real Madrid but he is pressed by Florentino Perez to make something obscure and he is not liking it.
Real Madrid is having an inside storm regarding Sergio Ramos's situation. He is the captain and the absolute leader of the squad. He is one of the best defenders ever and he is still performing at top level. Zinedine Zidane sees him as key for any success that the club might have in the future. But still he is about to be let go.
His contract will expire on June 30th and he actually wants to extend it, but the president Florentino Perez is making demands and imposing terms that Ramos does not like. The defender feels pushed by Perez, and he feels he should not be pressured into anything, less what the president wants from him.
As ABC said, the defender feels that Florentino Perez is using the negotiations to make him ask his teammates for a wage deduction. He is feeling pressured, and that situation is of course creating tension in the whole club. The talks have been paused, but it is likely that Ramos will explode and reject everything if he still senses he is being pushed by the president.
After the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the squad had accepted a 10% wage cut, but Florentino wants another one to save money. But the defender's status is too high to have someone demanding things to him. He does not even pretends a salary rise, and finds this whole situation unnecessary.
