Sergio Ramos dropped a defensive masterclass in his debut for PSG against St Etienne. It did take long before he showed us how good he is after spending months on the sideline.

The 35-year-old was paired up with Marquinhos at the heart of the defence and he delivered a wonderful performance for someone that was reported going to have his contract terminated earlier this month after it was not sure he will be able to play football again.

He last played football six months ago when he was in action for Real Madrid in May. But it did not take him much time to remind us all why he's one of the best to ever play the game. During the 3-1 over Saint Etienne he made some crucial interceptions and tackles and didn't mind doing the dirty job as usual, to see his team take all the three points. PSG won the match with goals from Marquinhos (2) and Di Maria with Lionel Messi claiming all the assists.

The fans were excited to see Sergio Ramos back to his level. The Spaniard spent a trophy laden 16 years at Real Madrid and was their captain for the best part of those years before moving to Paris Saint Germain as a free agent after contract talk fallout with Madrid.
