The environment at Real Madrid is not exactly calm. There is a lot of tension at the moment regarding the bad results and the future of Zinedine Zidane, but that is not the only things that disturbs the club. Sergio Ramos wants to stay, but he cannot stand the president Florentino Pérez.
This is because the captain defender wants to extend his contract, that will end on June 30th, but he has demands that Florentino is not willing to meet. Ramos wants the same salary and a two-year extension, while the president will offer only a renewal for one year and a 10% reduction of his wages.
And the Spanish newspaper El Mundo revealed that the leader in the pitch told the leader out of the pitch that if his demands are not met, he will not sign that new contract and will leave as a free agent. Ramos has reportedly an offer from Paris-Saint Germain, and that club seems to be his next one
This is not a happy ending for a career of 15 seasons of this defender with Real Madrid, but this is not the first time that a legend leaves the club because of Florentino Pérez. Fernando Hierro, Raúl González, Luis Figo, Iker Casillas and even Cristiano Ronaldo had to find a new team because he was not going to extend their contracts
