Real Madrid and Wales soccer player Gareth Bale has decided to play for Real Madrid for the 2021/22 Spanish La Liga season and not secure a transfer to America to play in the Major League Soccer, according to Spanish newspaper, AS.

Bale had a strained relationship with former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane which led him to spend last season on loan at his former club Tottenham Hotspur. Zidane has now left the club at the end of last season.

Former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti who signed Bale to the club in 2013 has returned to the club. It is reported that Bale wants to stay and spend the final season of his contract under a manager he knows well and has worked with before.

Bale will join up with the Real Madrid squad for preseason training and games after returning from vacation after playing for his country Wales at the just concluded Euro2021 where they were eliminated in the round of 16 by Denmark.
