Italian giants, Juventus, have placed a €40 million (£35m/$47m) price tag on Turkish centre-bacl, Merih Demiral. This coming off the back of rumours that Rafa Benitez's Everton side might be making a move for the player.

The Bianconeri are looking at making a healthy profit on a player they signed for €18m (£16m/$21m) from Sassuolo in 2019. Demiral has failed to tie down a regular spot in the centre of defence at the Allianz Stadium.

The 21-year old defender appeared only 15 times in the Serie A for Juventus under Andrea Pirlo. It is also rumoured that he isn't in Massimiliano Allegri's plans for 2021-22 and would be allowed to find greener pastures.

Everton are thought to be the frontrunners in the race for the defender's signature. However, Italian sides Roma & Atalanta are also rumoured to be considering their own bids for the defender who represented Turkey at the just-concluded Euro 2020. Demiral has 3years left on his contract with Juventus.
