Arsenal Football Club is keen on doing a deal that would bring England international, James Maddison to the Emirates Stadium. The London club is reportedly ready to include both Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in a deal that will see the Leicester City playmaker join Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Spanish coach, Arteta is said to want to add more bodies in the middle of the park despite the club just completing a £17m deal for Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga. Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny are the only established midfielders left at Arteta’s disposal with Granit Xhaka thought to be on his way out to Roma. Loan stars Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos have duly returned to parent club, Real Madrid.

Maddison is said to have caught the eye of the Arsenal manager but an asking price of £50m is said o be beyond the reach of Arsenal. Thus, the powerbrokers at the Emirates are open to including squad players Nelson and Maitland-Niles in the deal to sign the Maddison.
