Neymar Jr has announced the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar will be his last World Cup as he does not think he would have the strength of mind to deal with football anymore after the 2022 mundial. Neymar's announcement has other reasons why he will not play again in it.

Neymar is 29 years old and will be 30 years in February, with the World Cup in Qatar set to be played in December, he will be very close to his 31st birthday in just less than two months after the World Cup, by the next World Cup in 2026 he would have been 34years.

“I think it’s my last World Cup,” says Neymar of Qatar 2022. “I don’t know if I have the strength of mind to deal with football anymore. So I’ll do everything to prepare well, to win with my country, to realise the dream I've had ever since I was little. I hope I can do it.”

Neymar played his first FIFA World in 2014 in Brazil where Brazil were eliminated in the semifinal after a 7-1 thrashing by eventual champions Germany, Neymar missed the match. His second World Cup was the 2018 World Cup in Russia and Brazil was eliminated by Belgium.
