Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea FC are set to explore the opportunity of signing Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich this summer. The Bayern target man has been on the radar of the Champions League winners for a while now and Chelsea is expected to remain at alert for him.

Despite Bayern Munich having said several times that the 40-goal striker is not for sale, the London-based club has still asked to be kept informed of the striker’s position if he wants to make a switch.

Chelsea is in the market for a new striker after seeing the trio of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud not live up to expectations last season. Giroud has subsequently completed a move to AC Milan while Abraham is thought to be on the transfer market for about £40m.

Other striker options for Thomas Tuchel have proved difficult to sign. Borussia Dortmund is thought to want over £100m for Erling Haaland if he is to leave this summer. Romelu Lukaku has said he is happy at Inter Milan while Harry Kane is rumoured to prefer a move to English Champions, Manchester City.
