Liverpool has tied up right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold to a new deal at Anfield with the English International expected to stay till 2025. The Liverpool academy graduate extended his association with the Reds after he agreed to a long-term extension of his current deal.

Alexander-Arnold has been an integral part of the Liverpool squad since he made his first-year debut in 2016. Alongside Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Andrew Robertson, he has formed an almost impenetrable defensive line at Liverpool for the past 5 seasons. However, amidst an injury crisis at Liverpool last season, the 22-year-old experienced a dip in form. Despite not been in top form, Gareth Southgate named him as part of the 26-man contingent to Euro2020, only to be forced out by injury.

Despite a calamitous past 12 months, Liverpool have rewarded the defender's efforts for the club with a long-term extension and a significant pay rise. Alexander-Arnold is now expected to be in the highest-earners wage bracket at Anfield. This bracket includes players such as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, and Virgil van Dijk who earn between £200,000 and £160,000 weekly.

This is just reward for a player who has become one of the best in the world in his position. He was also in integral part in Juergen Klopp's teams that won the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League title and the 2019-2020 English Premier League. Trent Alexander-Arnold has played 129 times in the EPL, scoring 8 goals, providing 33 assists and kept 40 clean sheets.
