Edinson Cavani might be unwanted at Old Trafford but his services are certainly needed elsewhere and at the two biggest Spanish clubs no less. The Uruguayan striker has been made to sit on the bench at Manchester United but soon an end might come to that.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United this summer meant that last season's Premier League and Europa League hero suddenly faced elongated spells on the bench. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer usually goes for a front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho, with no place for the experienced striker.

However, two of the biggest clubs in the world need just the skillset that Edinson Cavani possesses. FC Barcelona is in dire need of a striker, one that would stay fit too. In Sergio Aguero, they've got a prolific striker but with a terrible injury record. While Ray Manaj has not played a full season in senior football. This leaves Martin Braithwaite as their only option for a striker.

On the other hand, Real Madrid could use some assistance for Karim Benzema. While the Frenchman has admirably taken on the goalscorer burden at the Santiago Bernabeu, having as assistant for him would allow him to be rested on occasion. Edinson Cavani is just as prolific and experienced a striker to deputise for Benzema. So he might be unwanted and forgotten at United, but Edinson Cavani is well sought after by Real Madrid and Barcelona.
