Cristiano Ronaldo has finally announced his decision to stay at Juventus till the end of the season. So much has been said about the Portuguese' future with just 1 year left on his contract at the Allianz Stadium. However, according to his coach, Ronaldo has decided he would be staying with Juventus till at least the end of the season.

Ronaldo has been the subject of numerous transfer speculations, linking him to clubs such as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. The 5-time Ballon d'Or winner was thought to have been looking to move on after talks of a new deal has not been held with Agnelli or any of the Juventus board. It was also rumoured that the reappointment of Massimiliano Allegri could spell trouble for the forward due to the preferred style of the coach that might not suit Ronaldo. Huge wages and the need to freshen the squad are also reasons many thought the Old Lady would prefer to cash in on the player rather than allow him to leave for free next summer.

However, Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that the Portugal captain informed him that he'd be staying in Turin for the 2021-22 season. Allegri disclosed to the media that Ronaldo didn't feature in the customary friendly with the Juventus U-23 side because he had a full week of training and he decided to give the player some time off. The Italian tactician confirmed that Ronaldo never for once asked to leave the club. He also confirmed that the 34-year-old remains committed to the club and it is always a bonus to have him in the team because of the many goals he scores.

On his part, Ronaldo came out earlier in the week to slam media houses who were linking him with other clubs, especially a return to Real Madrid. He branded those rumours as 'disgracing and disrespectful' to Juventus and the clubs he has been linked with. Ronaldo also stated that his story at Madrid has been written and there is no option of going back. With the prolific frontman to be out of contract by June, the football world would wait to see where he plays next season.
