Cristiano Ronaldo will be in action again during the international break as Portugal has a friendly match against Qatar and then a World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg. The matches will take place Saturday 9th October and Tuesday 12th October respectively. Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be in the team and hopefully amongst the goals in both matches later this international window.

Earlier this year, Cristiano Ronaldo added another impressive record to his ever-growing list of awards. The 36-year-old surpassed Ali Daei as the male footballer with the most number of goals now 111 goals. Ali Daei had scored 109 goals playing for Iran but he has now being overtaken by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 5-time Ballon d'Or winner scored both goals to overtake Ali Daei when his Portugal side faced off against the Republic of Ireland. The United forward had earlier missed a penalty and the chance to own the record up front. But later in the match, Ronaldo scored two goals with impressive headers to set the record for himself. 

Portugal Vs Qatar match details, possible line-up

The friendly match between Portugal and Qatar will be played at the Estadio Algarve on Saturday 9th October, 2021. The match will serve as a way to tune up the Qatari national side as they will be hosting the rest of the world for the  2022 FIFA World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo and his side should be fair game for Qatar to make their players prepare for next year's World Cup.
