This semester has been terrible for Ronald Koeman, to say the least. He has been getting bad result after bad result. He is disliked by the players and the board. Today he lost the first place of the UEFA Champions League group G after losing to Juventus 3-0 at Camp Nou, something unlikely. But everything can get worse, and he was publicly mocked.

The second half had just started when Clement Lenglet made a handball inside the box. The German referee Tobias Stieler checked the replay with VAR and gave the penalty for Juventus. Koeman, angry with the fair call, went out of his box to claim the penalty should have not been given, and doing so he walked close to Juventus’ bench.

Stieler told Koeman to go back to his area, and the substitutes of the visitor team carelessly laughed at him. Paulo Dybala, the closest to Koeman, can be seen doing hand gestures, but there were many smiling and laughing faces among them. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the third goal, his second of the night, and with Weston McKennie’s goal, the match went 3-0.

Juventus made a comeback in the table. They needed to win by a margin of three goals to advance to the next round as winners of their group, and that is what happened. Barcelona will face a winner in RO16 and every match is a new nightmare for Koeman, who is respected by nobody.
