Roger Martínez wants to leave America as soon as possible, more than two years after his arrival in the Liga MX side. The Colombian attacker is looking for a change and America could negotiate him, as they paid $9 million for him to Villarreal. With a contract until June 2023 his chances of leaving are phew, even though those are his intentions.

Roger Martínez considers him a top player or that is what we may deduce due to the fortune that he is asking as a contract to some clubs. First of all, we need to think that the team that wants to contract him should be paying his transfer, as America won’t give away a player for whom they paid much.

Inter Miami is the club that tried to sign him but was horrified after hearing what Martínez wanted to earn. The player asked $5.2 million per year to play at the MLS, a fortune that no teams won’t be paying for a player of his conditions. If this continues this way, we may think that at the end he will be staying to play at the team coached by Miguel Herrera.

The MLS offers big contracts but only to those players considered tops. Gonzalo Higuaín, with an incredible trayectory through Europe, is the best paid player earning $8.8 million. After him, we can find Michael Bradley ($6.5 million), Jozy Altidore ($6.3 million), Carlos Vela ($6.3 million) and Chicharito Hernández ($6 million).
