Rodolfo Pizarro is a top player that almost all Liga MX sides would like to sign. That was the reason why, on February 2020 Inter Miami decided to pay $11 million to Rayados Monterrey for him. The player adapted to the MLS team, but rumors pointed out that he could be leaving soon.
Talks said that Matías Almeyda was tempted to be the coach of Monterrey and that as a condition to sign, he asked to have Pizarro in his squad, as well as other players. During the last hours the illusion of the Rayados fans collapsed, after Inter Miami confirmed that Pizarro stays at the club.
The midfielder aged 26 ended his contract after a season, but the club arranged with the player his continuity for a year more. With this panorama, now Monterrey won’t be signing him soon. Chivas was also a side in which Pizarro played and where it was rumored that he could leave to.
Since his arrival to Inter Miami, the international playmaker with Mexico national team had 20 appearances, scoring four goals and giving four assists. After Pachuca, Chivas and Monterrey, this is the first time that he plays outside the country, while he waits to have a big chance in Europe top five leagues.
