Real Madrid were heavily linked to Kylian Mbappé in the summer and submitted bids in the region of €200m for the French international but PSG rejected all bids despite Mbappé alerting the club of his desires to leave the club earlier enough so he could be sold and the club have money to sign quality replacement.

The events have left the future of Mbappé in a state of uncertainty, PSG have a contract renewal offer on the table for him which he could accept with a good pay rise and he could also reject so he could seal a dream move to Real Madrid for free in the summer when his contract at the club expires.

Paris Saint-Germain are also now at the mercy of Real Madrid, they are interested in signing Brazilian midfielder Casemiro who is valued at €70m by the club. Casemiro is reported to want a new challenge and PSG are interested in the experienced midfielder but their past history with Real Madrid could prevent the deal.

Casemiro joined Real Madrid in 2013 on an initial loan deal from Sao Paulo before he was later signed permanently. He spent a season on loan at FC Porto in Portugal where he sharpened his skills and has become one of the best midfielders in the world. He has a contract until 2025 when he would already be 33 years.
