Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is now the most valuable player in the world according to a new metric compiled by KPMG Football Benchmark which puts him ahead of PSG attacker Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and other top stars in the world.
Haaland's market value increased by 8% or €11m to €144.2m due to his performances since joining Borussia Dortmund during a time in which he has scored more goals than games played. Chelsea tempted Borussia Dortmund with an offer of £130m in the summer but it was rejected.
His current release clause now stands at £68m which means for a lesser amount to what Chelsea offered he would leave the Signal Iduna Park with top European clubs already at war for his signature including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and financially distressed FC Barcelona.

Kylian Mbappé saw a €36m reduction in his which came as a result of many factors, he is in the final year of his PSG contract and is yet to agree a new deal. PSG turned down multiple offers from Real Madrid and could see him leave for free.
