Real Madrid new player reveals player he looks forward to playing with

New Real Madrid signing, David Alaba has revealed that he has ultimate admiration for French defender Raphael Varane. Alaba said that he looks forward to playing alongside the World Cup-winning defender at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Austrian utility player joined the Spanish giants in the off-season from Bayern Munich as a free agent after running down his contract.

Alaba joins on a 5-year deal and would hope that he gets to play alongside the former Lens defender. Varane, on his part, is rumoured to be on his way out of the club having not signed a contract extension. English side, Manchester United are thought to be his preferred destination.

Talking of the French defender, Alaba said: "Of course I would love to play with Varane. Alaba said during his unveiling on Wednesday. For many years he has played excellent football and not just now. He is a wonderful defender and has great qualities."
