Regarding this sad situation, his coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, talked to the press about his current state after surgery. He expressed that everybody at Wolverhampton are worried and want him to recover not necessary for coming back soon or even playing again, but most important to carry on a normal life outside of soccer.

Nuno stated that now is not a moment to think about a return to soccer pitches. He also explained that the squad wants to visit him, but unfortunately they are still not allowed to and that is heartbreaking for his teammates because they have not been able to see him since he went off the Emirates Stadium on an ambulance.
