Raúl Jiménez is currently one of the best Mexican attackers in the world, not to say the best. The forward scored against Japan in the second match of the FIFA international break that Mexico national team played. In the first one, against, South-Korea he had also netted a ball.

With these two goals, Jiménez reaches the 26 scored for the national team and entered on the all-time top 10 scorers. He had now equalized the record from Andrés Guardado, who scored them on 152 matches while Jiménez did so on 82 appearances. The next player he could pass in that list is Luis García, author of 28 goals.

Gerardo Martino trusts Jiménez and thinks that he must be Mexico number 9. So far, the attacker has returned the trust and in performing very well. At Wolverhampton, he is also having a tremendous season, after scoring four goals in eight Premier League games.

Jiménez arrived to the English side on July 2019 for $40 million and, since then, some top teams, such as Juventus, Manchester United or even Real Madrid, want to sign him. For now on, his objective is trying to surpass Chicharito (52 goals) as the Mexican top scorer and dethrone him forever.
