Guard1anes 2020 has come to an end. The second leg of the final will be played tonight and will decide which is the best team of Liga MX, if Club León or Pumas UNAM. The final match, to be played in Estadio León of Guanajuato, and the first leg ended in a draw 1-1. If the result tonight is the same, León will lift the trophy.

In this context, the Mexican legend Rafael Márquez was asked about who he wanted to win the Liga MX final. He posted his answer publicly on his Twitter account, but his reply was already expected given his past as a soccer player, and being one of his former teams playing this important match.

So Rafa announced he will be rooting for León to be the Mexican champion for the eighth time in their history. He played 58 matches for the Esmeralda and scored once between 2013 and 2014. So his heart will be with the team he joined right after he left the MLS team New York Red Bulls.

Rafa Márquez had a long and successful career with Atlas, AS Monaco, FC Barcelona, New York Red Bulls, Club León, and Hellas Verona. His times with Mexican national team were even more remarkable, given he became one of the three players who played in five World Cups, between 2002 and 2018.
