
Radamel Falcao was said to be the Colombian greatest footballer of all time, He is nicknamed "El Tigre" (Spanish for The Tiger).He did have a worthy career having played for big games in Europe, he has played for Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Uruguayans now play for Rayo Vallecano at the age of 35. His career trajectory is interesting as he was able to play for big names in European football. He started his professional football career with River Plate before moving to Europe.
He joined FC Porto in 2009 for a fee of €5.43 and played at the Portuguese club for three years before moving to Atletico Madrid for a club record fee of €40m. On May 31,2013, he signed for Ligue 1 side Monaco. He was determined to help Monaco compete against Qatari backed PSG.
On 1 September 2014, Manchester United agreed to put pen to paper with Falcao on a season long loan with an option to buy. Manchester United didn't activate the buy option and that ended his loan spell at the club. On 3 July 2015, Chelsea signed Falcao on a season-long loan deal worth £4 million with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the season for a fee of £38 million (€50 million), he fell out with the manager and had no option but to return to Monaco. On his return he was made the team captain at Monaco.
Four years later he was released as a free agent to go to Galatasaray after not renewing his contract and Monaco almost relegated. He found his way to Rayo Vallecano this season and requested to wear the jersey number three in honor of his father who was a defender and used to play with the number. He made his debut against Getafe scoring a goal in the 3-0 win.
