Pumas UNAM's going through a difficult footballing moment, since although they won the victory on Friday against Necaxa, Guard1anes 2021 places them tenth with 16 points in 14 games played. It is clear: they will need a good transfer market to reactivate a team that managed to reach the Liguilla final in 2020.

One of the footballers who will leave the University team's Juan Manuel Iturbe. The naturalized Paraguayan Argentine is already wanted by River Plate, a team that wants to sign him if he ends up going free, because his contract expires. For this reason, the auriazules are already looking for a replacement.

The first objective for the Pumas board of directors will be to find a footballer with the conditions of Iturbe, or similar, but who can also arrive at a lower price. The economic problem of the University is clear and, according to reports in Italy, there are already conversations with a player who meets these characteristics: Gervinho.

As reported by Nicoló Schira, “Gervinho will leave Parma at the end of the season. One of his agents is in Mexico and has spoken with Pumas, who are looking for the former Arsenal and Roma player to replace Juan Manuel Iturbe (his contract expires in June)”. The bomb can explode.
