Problem at the door: Piqué's harsh response to Xavi Hernández's commandments

Less than a week after Xavi Hernández took over as Barcelona coach, the problems did not take long to come. Always with respect, of course, but Piqué and the coach today shared a dressing room and that is why he does not want me to be above anyone.

Gerard Piqué spoke for the first time since his former teammate and now his coach, Xavi Hernández, took office at FC Barcelona. And the defender wanted to make it clear that, despite the rules that the new DT imposed, he had already planned to cancel some appointments of his busy public life that Xavi himself prohibited for everyone.

"People think because the media say what they want people to hear. People consume and read, the problem is one of those who invent," said Piqué on the Twitch channel of his friend and partner Ibai Llanos (one of the issues that Xavi wants to avoid, precisely).

"Xavi does not even know that I have canceled my visit to El Hormiguero" added the defender, clarifying that this was his idea and not an order from Xavi, at least as it was known first hand as soon as the new coach took office. Nor will he go to the Davis Cup presentation ceremony, another of the alleged outings that Xavi would have asked him to suspend.

Finally, Piqué wanted to make something clear: "When there are rules, the coach does not have to be tough. As a player, when I was in a dressing room where there were rules, it was good for us. When there were no rules, it was bad for us, is order".
