Pele's gesture that annoys Neymar and opens a fight between Brazilian idols

Paris Saint-Germain won the first title of Mauricio Pochettino’s new era, when wining the French Supercup against Olympique Marseille. The Parisian side defeated 2-1 their rivals to win the competition, in a game that had some polemic and that brought a tremendous fight after its end.

Neymar decided to mock his rival Álvaro González on social media after the game and an interdict between both players started. The one from Olympique Marseille wrote to Ney that he was always going to be the shadow of Pele, in a message that was viral in a matter of seconds.

Many fans tagged Pele on the message, expecting that the Brazilian legend answered to meddle in the dispute. But the ex-star from Santos decided to make no posts regarding the message, in a silence that hided something of accomplice. The international press started to speculate then with the possibility that Neymar got angry with Pele for not defending him.

Ney has been slipping away from other stars shadows during all his career. At FC Barcelona he was always compared to Lionel Messi and at Brazil national team he is always devalued being compared to Pele, the only player in soccer history that was able to gain three World Cup titles.
